The spark slowly turned into a flame and made it’s way to the forest.
The fire jumped
Beginning to ripple across the rocky ground and climbed the tree’s.
The blinding heat hit the pealing branches
Skipped to the weary leaves
And let go of it’s branch, as the crippling leaves began to bolt down like falling lights.
The flames only grew wider and traveled with no control.
Thick smoke darker than a starless night began to cover what was destroyed
Fallen tree’s were ash
The unsteady ground burnt.
The forest was no longer a forest
And it only took a spark.
But in the center of the cracked trails, something began to grow
A small, delicate flower at the beginning of life
The sun peaking through the clouds reflected the colors off of the thin, pink petals
Even in the most troubled places,
Hope is displayed through the smallest lives.
