Where I'm From Poem
I am from stuffed animals,
From Webkinz and Crocs.
I am from the farm.
I am from the pecan tree, the cherry tree.
I am from sledding down icy roads,
And large noses, from my grandpa
And Karla and Andy.
I am from late night laughing and Sunday fun day.
From brush your teeth and go to bed.
I am from the religion with the
Ten Commandments.
I am from St. Peters, cheesy potatoes
And homemade pickles.
From the time my mom drove through the garage,
And the time I got lost in Wal-Mart.
I am from the hidden pictures
In the musty, thick aired basement
With my family cherishing every moment from the past.
