Violence
Bang! Pop!
The end is near
The air is thick with the smell of fear
A heavy thud
Signals the end
Of a young life that barley had the chance to begin
A wounded mother’s cry
Fill the night
With a heartbroken father @ her side
Their life is over
The soul has taken flight while gloomy clouds fill the night
This can be stopped
All this death
Have we forgot?
The stories our ancestors forever taught
They told of world peace
And blue skies and green trees
So why is it so many are so scared to go to sleep?
We’ve got to make this right
Don’t we have the right to survive?
Please don’t act like you all are blind
This is our world
No matter what race
No one has the right to dominate
We all are one
So let’s take a stand
Please help stop this violence
And let peace reign our lands
