Divorced
When things weren’t going so well
Mom and dad would start to yell
I would use my hands to cover my ears
I don’t know why but it gave me nothing to fear
When mom and dad were no longer happy
Life soon turned very crappy
Then mom and dad began to separate
Dad said something like “it was fate”
Those words didn’t seem to make things better
When mom came home with a man dressed in leather
The day dad left
Life put me to the test
I wish I cried
Even though I tried
I was filled with guilt
That nothing painful ever built
Now im here trying to cherish the token
But no matter what my family will always be broken
