Goodbye Friend

Every single memory, every birthday, every Christmas, I remember of you.
Every tear shed, every smile, I looked to you.
You’ve been with me since I can remember
But now that you’re gone, I look to the space you always were.
In the kitchen, by the couch, outside, by my side I still look hoping to see you waiting for me.

Goodbye friend

What does one do when their favorite thing is gone?
It is so hard, but I guess I need to move on
Some tried to console, and say he wasn’t even a person,
but to me you were greater than anyone I knew
Yes, he was a dog.
But he was actually my best friend,
and he has now passed on

Farewell friend

I still remember that day
My outfit, the weather, my perfume, the joy to I had to get home
But when I walked through the door,
I saw you were no more
And in that second I thought my life would never move on.

Au Revoir friend

I felt the coldness of your body,
My favorite thing, my favorite thing, my only thing
Was now all gone

Adios friend

Heaven is great they say,
and I’m so happy you are there.
You can have all you want
and don’t even have to share.

But you left me behind and I struggle every day.
Because when I get home and I think you’re there,
I look to you so I can smile.
But I end up looking to an empty space,
almost belting out the name of something that was once there

Aideu friend

Now I know it’s all for the better
I think I need you,
but really I’ll be fine.

Because I believe that on that day,
a little girl made her way to heaven.
She needed you to be hers,
more than I needed you to be mine.
I ask you to please give her the joy you once gave me,
But just don’t forget me

So ciao my friend,
Until we meet again some day.
And when I see you,
we’ll be back together until the end
Take care my friend
