The Tragedy of Olympus
The sun will eventually consume the earth,
But the Fates say humans will kill it first.
People will convince Zeus to live with Hades,
And crown Poseidon king of the dumpster.
Poor Artemis won’t have anything to hunt,
And Demeter will lose her magic.
No crops will grow and no flowers will bloom,
And Hades will lose all his wealth.
Dionysus will be sober and run out of drink,
And no one will party or laugh with him.
While he should be drunk and crazy,
Hestia will be rampant and crazed.
She will run, arms flailing, everywhere and nowhere.
For a second she will sit in a box,
Then move to another, but don’t worry,
Apollo will prophesize she’ll find her sanity.
It will send Hephaestus in a frenzy
And inflict Hermes with paranoia.
Hephaestus will craft shield after shield,
And to Hermes, all packages marked fragile.
Ares will laugh and have a jolly good time,
Until Athena states there’ll not be another war.
His little heart will be broken, and
Aphrodite will be forced to be chaste.
Hera will join her husband with Hades,
And Charon will need to build a bigger boat.
All in a minute, the underworld will be flooded,
With all those who didn’t starve earlier.
Tartarus will lock all its doors,
And boast it’s the best place in the world.
Every day there’ll be a party,
And they’ll laugh at the Greek Tragedy.
