If I could be a pilot, would it be so bad?
I could see the sun, the moon and stars so close yet so far
The solitude would comfort me
I can travel wherever I please
The mystic night would be my friend
Surrounding me with joy
High above the mountains
I look down below
A delight I must say
Though height makes me queasy
This bliss is meant for me
It calls to me from the blinking lights and the runways
I’ve never felt more at home
It’s like the lullaby your mom used to sing right before you fell asleep
The refreshing warmth of the console right in front
Directing your own spaceship
Soaring and towering through the wispy clouds
Creating a journey from drylands to trenches
Cutting through the air
But, if I could be a pilot, would it be so bad?
