Cry for Attention
My mental disorder is a
"Cry for attention"
you say.
My anxiety is an
excuse.
My depression is
imaginary.
My anorexia is
"sick".
I am begging
crying out for
desperate for
attention.
When then,
if I am so starved for attention
do I hide it away
like a robber in the night?
I hide away in the shadows
terrified that someone
any one single soul
might see.
I wear a plastic smile
on a plastic face
Never allowing my
weakness
to show.
How is this, I ask
A cry for attention?
