The Road Ahead

The wheels that spin,
That awesome grin,
The rumble of the engine beneath your feet,
That feeling when your foot and the gas pedal meet,
The open road that lays ahead,
That relaxed feeling like resting in bed.
It talks to you through its bumps and screeches,
You accelerate using various reaches.
The speed limit’s low but you’re flying high,
There’s nothing in the world but the road and the sky.
As the sun sets in the West,
You realize today has been one of your best.
With happiness ahead, and memories below,
Forward is the only direction to go.
