By the shadowed darkness of night
Or the harshest light of day
Would I see him any differently?
No, I think not
He isn't perfect
He isn't all that special
But, does he have to be?
Would anyone care, if for a moment
We turned out the lights and
Without a word
We just slipped away

Passing each other in these cramped halls
I'm invisible to him
Just another face in the Crowd
I'm not perfect
I'm not all that special
But do I have to be?
Would anybody see?
Would anyone care, for a moment
If like so many forgotten fantasies
Without a word
We just slipped away

I crave his touch
I long for a taste
Of something I've never known
Known to be true
I won't let shameless lust die
I won't stop until he's mine
His love or his lies
Would anyone care, if for a moment
Without blinking an eye
Without saying a word
We just slipped away

It's ours at last
Beneath the veil of night
It's always over too fast
We were such a beautiful sight
Our future nothing more than a dream
I half heatedly hope to transpire
Feeling how replaceable I am
As I let my head fall to his desire
Wanting all that we could be
He's ferociously passionate
But, not about me
I know It's not about love
Only a catalyst
So why would I care, if for a moment
If like sand fading through my fist
He gave a good bye I never heard
without a word
He just slipped away

Is he the angel that abandon me,
Or the demon I cling too?
It wasn't perfect
It wasn't all that special
Just selfish love
If I stopped
If I let go
Would he, would anyone care, If for a moment
My heart wept water
Like my eyes do happiness
For a means to an end
Without a word
The lock on our secret life
It just slipped away
It just slipped away
It just slipped

This is a piece about actually being with the person you have a crush on, but them wanting to keep it a secret and you letting that secret slip just like they let you go. A moment of Desperate vengeance.
