What's one more scar to join the lines,
What's one more battle lost?
One more heart that's broken,
Just past the tide is tossed.

So one last time let's race the sun,
One more daring jump.
This one night we'll be so free,
We'll be just who we ought to be.

Romp, and roll, and muck about,
Be children for a time.
Remember children's rhymes,
Remember those lost times.

Visit all those childhood haunts,
Hidden in the past.
Play pretend, count the stars,
Or watch the clouds that pass.

For as we know the sun will rise,
This dream one day will end.
Childish games must fall away,
Bring rise to adult fears.

But not tonight, not today.
For this day we are free.
This one time, just today,
Please run away with me?
