The Fire
The Fire
The day it happened, I will never forget,
I feel like it was my fault, yet I know I couldn’t help it.
I put the campfire out as soon as I was done,
But as night fell, again it had begun.
Now my house is a pool of ashes,
Holding all the memories, great times, and my family’s passions.
My tears are as hot as the fire that day,
the day my most prized possessions all went away.
