Forever gone

I looked through window pane,
but all I could see was the exhaust from his car.
Tears welled in my eyes,
how could he have taken it this far?
He said he loved me, years ago,
but did he not mean it when he said, “I love you so?”
Well I guess he’s gone now,
he’ll find a brand new wife.
He’ll find someone better and get a whole new life.
