Tears and Fears

December 8, 2013

The tears streamed down her face
as fear plunges deep into the water.
Searching for hope.
rifling through,
with a fine tooth comb,
the outer layer of the cerebral cortex.
Countless attempts,
yet failure.
What is reality?
Nods and approval.
are you a radical independent clause
or a clingy dependent, scouring for
answers to meaningless questions?
Too many trapped in their own fears,
drowning in senseless inconsequential thoughts.
Blank trifling stares.
A hollowness that rings loudly, with no sound.
You laugh.
I cry alone.
