Something Lost
I’ve lost something long ago
A shoe or a bobby pin?
No I don’t believe so
It left me feeling low, not knowing where to go
I had to lie, I had to cheat
Losing innocence and honesty is what happened
Going into high school took a turn for the worse
I lost friendships that would “last forever”
Lost love interest in people who were “the one”
Losing sleep because I couldn’t stop thinking
In class one blink and I’m out
No nap times to relax
Yes that hurt the most
Going home to a crazy family
Losing the respect I had once had with a stupid mistake
Take me back to a time when none of this mattered
No one to judge, people who loved you without any ties
Sleeping, eating, relaxing, 24 hours of play time
Falling asleep on the couch, magically waking up in bed
Let me wake up and find out this is all a dream
Nothing bad ever happened, voice still high pitched, and hips that didn’t
Bump into everything while I walk
Uh, only in a dream
