the sparkly ice
how it shines so bright
kind of like a shimmer in an eye
or a baby’s smile
but when the ice breaks it’s beauty dies
just like that
in a blink of an eye
from marvelous too hideous
ice is life in some ways
that moment when you think everything is perfect
but you're really just blind
ice cracks and so does life
that perfect moment can go wrong
cause life can come slow
like a snail
but how it ends so fast
not just death other things too
it takes time for ice to grow
like it can take anything that comes at it
that’s the way we are
but then that brick
comes crashing down
it takes time to grow
bricks will smash
but you just need to be ready
for the brick
and when it comes
you will be expecting it
but not expecting pain and grief
so don’t wait
prepare yourself
and be ready for the unexpected
