Destroyed Dreams
When you walk into the room, my soul lifts.
As your soothing voice speaks, my eyes drift.
You swept me off my feet, and I soon fell in love.
You were heaven sent, my angel from above.
With you I wanted to spend my whole life.
I was addicted, as if you were a drug.
You then took my heart, and shattered it.
Soon the trust was gone, and believing was no more.
My heart is filled with hate, but the love remains.
But you so painfully destroyed my dreams, and my heart had been torn.
Therefore I can’t love you anymore.
