A Deep, Depressing Sea
I live in a deep dark sea,
There I can see no one but me,
A few try to help,
Reaching out, sympathetic hands like kelp.
But they cannot reach me,
For loneliness is all I see.
Once a boat sank,
Into an ocean so dank,
It had dropped down many,
But all I see are bodies aplenty.
I look up to the surface,
And see people walking with purpose.
How I wish that were me,
However I live in a deep, depressing sea.
