I am so happy today that I am free
For it is because of the taxation of tea
The patriots stood their ground and set up camps
To protect their rights from taxation of their stamps
The first formal attack was in 1775
Starting of the war in order to thrive
This started seven years of bloody war
When the British ships came to our shore
Many have fought and lost their lives
To protect us from the British lies
I have fought for freedom, I have fought for peace
Now it is time for this war to cease
