you are no good for me
Today when you laughed
 You tossed your head forward
 while I threw mine back.
 We are ever in sync but
 always in the opposite direction.

 The first word I ever heard you
 utter was “serenity”
 Which is exactly what I do not feel
 You keep me on the edge of my seat,
 constantly longing for you to point
 and pick me to be yours.

 You are everything my body
 says to run from, but
 my soul whispers “Go ahead. Every good girl
 needs a bad boy.”

 So I’ll let you sink your teeth into me;
 dangerous, but dangerously sweet.
