Still
And she sits here
All alone, her past gnawing at her brain
Maybe, just maybe, if she never said anything
She would've been fine
She would've have friends
And family would accept her
But at the party, she called for help
911 answers at her breathy voice
“Please, get me out of here”, she pleas
But he's still coming her way
Mad and shaken up at the slap that she gave him
He was trying to take advantage of her
“Come on, baby, this won't hurt”
But she screams and calls the cops
Runs downstairs, cursing out everyone
Blaming herself for coming to this stupid party
She shouldn’t be here
Now everyone thinks she's a snitch
Cause there was substance abuse
Available for anyone who wants
A bit of happiness
And gossips are already spreading
It's only a bit of time
Before she will clutch the blade
And forever sleep
Still, she hasn't given up
