Forever Lost
When I was all alone,
you came and cracked a hole in my shell.
Bypassing my defenses,
you filled that space by my side.
Caring for me like a sister,
you stood up and became my voice—
letting no one put me down,
not even me.
But when you had no one left
I could not fill the void.
You forgave my every failure,
until I had nothing more to offer.
Unable to reach you as you turned away,
I've lost that presence by my side.
When I'm all alone,
I fill it up with memories of you.
