Christmas…
The warmth that fills the air,
The lights that gleam so brightly.
The scent of pine needles from the Christmas tree.
Warm cookies just out of the oven,
Carefully placed on a plate in an order like no other.
The tall glass of milk set beside the cookies.
Carols playing softly as the children slowly fall sound asleep.
The fireplace burns hot and crackles until it dies out slowly,
As midnight approaches.
Merry Christmas to all…
