They are polar opposites
but opposites attract.
He has liked her since kindergarten
in fact, she is the ultimate crush.

When she stares in his eyes
his insides become twisted about.
But he never shows his cards,
his feelings never come out.

Today, he was assigned to be
lab partners with her.
His cheeks are reddened with anxiety
his heart pumps with nervous excitement.

She greats him with a warm tender smile
which sets him at ease.
Now is his chance to impress her,
with his scientific skills and chemical abilities.

As they start their lab
A faint sound comes from the bottom of his seat.
The warm stagnant smell creeps slowly
to his nose and then to hers.

She screams in disgust
As their classmates giggle and joke.
He bows his head in humiliation
as his cheeks redden like a withered rose

His chances are now over
And his dreams are crushed.
From one single mistake
From one single fart.
