Favorite Quote:
"Great writers are indecent people, they live unfairly, saving the best part for paper. Good human beings save the world so that bastards like me can keep creating art, become immortal. If you read this after I am dead, it means I have made it."

Moments flit by like a leaf caught in the wind,
their details becoming blurred,
so quick it’s like they were never there.
Memories become scattered and broken,
but only if you don’t hold them gently,
like they are precious diamonds,
vulnerable to the world.
Stories get confused and told wrong
until no one can remember
what exactly the story was about.
So all I can say is be careful,
and love every second,
since you aren't guaranteed another one,
and try to keep the stories straight,
the memories clear,
and make the moments last,
so one day you can tell people
everything you never forgot.

I wrote this piece to commemorate the seventh anniversary of my father's death last July.
