5 reasons to lie

To mend a broken heart that won't fit back together.
Pieces with jagged edges from being tossed around
To empty box after box of tissues that get thrown on the floor.
Forget the trash can, the floor can handle it
To flip through channels on the TV to only shut it off and then sit in the dark.
Staring at nonsense and nothing that seems to make sense
To find old pictures, make a fire, and burn them all.
See his face in the pile of ashes and dust
To hide the fears of getting hurt again.
For the fear of a broken heart.
