She held his precious youthful face like God holds the world.
The same one she cries to evernight, through the loud beep she cries to the lord
What if he’s not strong enough?
What if she’s not strong enough?
She watches her baby rely on the mechanical breaths of others.
Can you imagine being in the cheap shoes of a helpless mother?
As her world crumbles leaving firm walls that never had the chance to tumble
It’s funny how one thing taken can destroy it all.
If only sooner she had broken up each graffiti fedded walls.
It reaches the point where tears were a myth
Because what’s the point of crying over an uncontrollable situation you can’t even believe?
Beep beep beep

I’ve never seen a women crash so hard.
If it covers you completely is it even a scar?
Not only was it the last breath of her baby, it was hers.
To watch in front of her, to seen her world torn.
Just a little longer she cries
to what’s left of her belief, she screams to the sky.
Oh, what she’s do to see her baby’s blooming blue eyes.
Just to hear the relief she once called a cry
Just a little longer

Days pass and she sits at his grave.
With the family and strength she doesn’t have.
She lays down a flower she bought with the money she never owned.
Not much has changed from the night she dropped her world
She even still speaks in the same tone when she says
Just a little longer.
Please, lord.
Just a little longer.

The pain became to overwhelming and soon after there was a man.
Sitting beside the same bed of the women that couldn’t take it much longer
If he would of had time he would have confessed to a love making her stronger but
Beep beep beep
He screamed in anger to the lord God our savior.
Begging for just a little longer
Please, lord.
Just a little longer.

Days pass and he sit beside the grave of the women who thought he never loved her
Which laid next to her world
The baby with a broken down mother.
He replaced the rotted flower with a fresh rose connected to a ring and a note

Dear mother, who never thought i loved you
I go home every night and cry but that will never be enough
I’m sorry I never told of my love
So here’s the ring I never gave you
And the note I waited to long to write you

He kneeled by the grave
and whispered,
Just a little bit longer
Please, Lord
Just a little bit longer.

Now I know my poem shows defeat
but there's a meaning I’ve been wanting you to meet.
Don’t waste time because you’re scared you’re too weak.
She might of dropped the world but what’s stronger than glue?
If the man would have confessed the love he knew,
He wouldn’t be wishing
For just a little longer.
