Painfully Sweet Torture

The air is beating its fists
And screaming for us to kiss...
So why can't I do it?
What is stopping me from
leaning in and pressing
my lips to yours?
Could it be the boy
The other boy
who has carved his own little place
inside me?
The one with the long eyelashes
who tells me about
the broken glass clouds,
and the painfully sweet torture
of talking to someone you miss.
Are you sure this is love?
Or are we just lonely?
