“Monsters are real, and ghosts are real too. They live inside us, and sometimes, they win.” - Stephen King

I remember the first time I saw you.
It was love in first sight.
It didn't show,
But I knew what I felt inside.

Days went by,
Days I cried,
Days I wished,
I was never alive.

I didn't have the courage to tell you.
I didn't have to courage to say hi.
To you I was just a friend.
How I wanted to die!

It doesn't matter now...
I don't think it ever did.
Because without you,
There's no reason for me to live.

I'm trapped in a cage,
I cannot breathe.
I need help,
Who could ever help me?

This poem is inspired by falling for a friend, yet not being able to express those feelings.
