Today I make my final stand-
Sweat and blood dripping form my brow,
Nothing will stand in my way.
Accomplishing my only goal;
The only one that I ever wanted,
The only one that any have tried to hold me back from
Though, none prevail
In pushing me away
From this task....
I deceived so many
Convinced them that I was well-
I walked away promising;
Swearing.
That it would never come to this,
Now, as I run,
Along these cliffs
Searching
For something higher than myself.
To find those
Who betrayed me.
To settle old scores-
But along my way,
Standing in my path,
Was a man, that looked so much like myself.
Cleaner though,
With the same eyes of ice
And hair so light
That it appeared to float.
This figure said to me
"We both know that this is not what you want."
Dismissing and angered I pushed him aside,
I glanced back only once and saw this figure blow away like sand in the wind.
I quickly continued down my path.
I stopped at the very edge of the cliff,
Looked up and breathed in-
Before I leapt.
Right before I hit the ground I thought to myself
"I do not want to do this"
The last thing I saw was the figure,
Floating above the ground,
Shaking his head at me
