Everlasting light,
illuminating his world yet still so cold.
Left exposed and alone,
he resides in the shadows.

Gale winds penetrate
the minutest cracks of his fortress.
The illustrious halls of his once thriving
kingdom lay empty, as if frozen in time.

His family animated in stone
before his helpless eyes.
Left by those he had sought to slaughter
suffering, in repent for his sins.

Body left motionless, but a racing mind
to think upon his life’s transgressions.
He was once a ruthless lord, but will now
be a rest for foul on their annual journey home.
