The last Moment
My body lies on winters fresh fallen blanket
blood steams on my chest, pierced by bayonets
my soul has felt the wrath of war
on a level never seen before.
It started with bullets flying past my head
the artillery blasts steering me from my bed
sweat pouring from my skin
as i lay in the trenches waiting for the true battle to begin.
I pray to god that i be blessed
as i charge into the monster's nest
their fire blazes through our lines
and i watch as my friends lose thier lives
I will soon join them at heavens gate
judgement day has come it is my fate
i die knowing I've done a hero's duty
to maintain love, life, and liberty.
