Persephone’s Pomegranate
My vibrant red seeds are irresistibly sweet.
I am far from delicate, the goddess was tempted
just as Eve.
I talked to Hades about the arrangement.
A single chomp of me was all it took to foreshadow her doomed future forever.
There is a sense of hope for her above the Underworld.
Beautiful blooming flowers are brilliant, and
show spring is here.
To stay every day on Earth would be ideal to her.
She is innocent like a lamb,
and I am a virus.
I will still wait until I can trick another
with my firm, juicy self.
