Nights like this
where the rains flies down
and lightening dances across the sky
reminds me of
the nights spent
sitting on the front porch
watching the heavens
wonder in my eyes
the music the sky made
the pictures that played
one light at a time
the playful rain surrounding me
my childhood spent in the wonder
makes my heart ache for then
at nights like this
the never knowing
of what was next
