Melting
The city is burning
 No one knows why.
 I know why
 Though how can I
 Own up
To what was meant to be
 A small flame.
 Softly blazing,
 Happily flickering,
 No one knows why.
 You know why
 When the wick burnt up
 The fire continued
 Bright as we can handle
 Light for the whole city
 Lovely light,
 Burning bright,
 Melting you.
 I try to flee,
 But
 You’ve melted me.
