Never the End

I thought it was all over
It was all for nothing, now was the end
As I lay in pain, unable to move
I thought-will I ever dance again
The x-rays were reassuring
But recovery was lengthy
Dancing was never the same
Accommodations needed to be made
Despite it all, I never gave in
I endured through, thanks to you all
Encouragement pushed me forward
A draw back turned into motivation
Three years later, here I am
Letting nothing stop me
From achieving my dreams

The author's comments:
Dancing has been my life since I began taking classes when I was three years old. In 2010, a terrible car accident seemed to be the end for me. Thanks to God, not only am I still alive, but I am able to dance also. Nothing is impossible!
