Meridiem
It will come, it will be soon,
Soon will come at just past noon,
Then I will see the shimmering moon,
Meet the sun in glorious tune;
I see the love, on each one’s face,
Both as intricate, as beautiful lace,
They yearn and yearn to increase their pace,
To meet for but a few heart’s pace;
Then they touch at last to find,
How long they’ve yearned for this short bind,
To feel the love of a different kind,
A love of heart and soul and mind;
Then again, they pull away,
And move apart with such dismay,
They cannot wait, until the day,
They touch again and feel this way.
