Ariadne

My dear, my dearest
My only love
I have failed you
In more ways than
There are stars in the sky.

No man could halt
The hideous hysteria
Bursting forth from my ruined soul,
Pleading for return to that far brown thing,
To your injured form.

Can I touch you once more?
Can I feel golden pythons of braids
Sleek and winding
Slithering across my hand
Once more?

Curse this rising sun,
Curse the fading, faltering moon
Curse the furious waves
Curse the green Gaia
Curse me.

I am a foolish man.
But, Ariadne,

Forgive me....

And LIVE!!

A mythological piece that's less than fiction... Are you sure it's Theseus that is speaking.... Or perhaps it's your own soul? Judge it and receive the truth.
