I am by Brendan C,
I am a bird in a cage
I feel worse every day
I say it in every way
I am lost in my own despair
I see it almost everywhere
I dream of flying, of smelling fresh air
I hear the yells and shouts
I try to tune them out
I am no longer afraid
I knew we shouldn't have stayed
I, even in my own plight, in the end, knew it would be alright
I mourn for those who will die
I cheer for those who will survive
I believe with my last breath
That people are still good at heart
I am Anne Frank
The end
