Asian is probably the first word that comes to mind,
only if you dig deeper will you find…
Pandas and sushi I agree are fun,
but until words like “compassionate” are used, we aren't nearly done.
I’m quiet at first, and slightly benign,
but once you get to know me I’m far from refined.
Assume I’m good at math and I’ll probably seem dumb,
everyone has a forte, but for me math isn't one.
Set aside your stereotypes and get realigned,
to the idea that Asian isn't a personality kind.
