Cara Mia, Mon Cheri
Cara Mia > my darling (feminine)
The way she looks
when she's nose deep in
a good book,
the way she bites her lip
at the moments of
utter suspense.
The way her luscious hair
drapes over her pillow at night
sends my senses on a whirl,
the way she lets out
a soft sigh while crawling in the sheets
rolling over to my side
latching onto me like a leech.
How is this mine?
How do I deserve this?
Is this a dream?
Will it all disappear by morning?
Mon Cheri > my darling (masculine)
The way he purses his gentle lips
against my forehead after working
the usual nine to five day,
the way he takes a whiff of the aromas
and lets out a sweet
"ah, what's cooking good-lookin'?"
The way he holds me,
arms wrapped around me tight
like the Christmas bow on
each and every present,
the way he crawls into bed,
letting out a moan
accompanied by a stretch of every limb
and tightens his grip on me
for only a second and whispers goodnight
How is this mine?
How do I deserve this?
Is this a dream?
Will it all disappear by morning?
