The Eagle
A baby bird sits in a nest.
Chirp chip, he says,
as his mother brings a juicy worm.
As his mother flies away,
He tries to fallow,
But he falls, ever so slowly
He falls for an eternity,
Before falling onto the queen’s tiara.
The queen takes off her tiara,
Looks at the bird, and declares,
“From this moment on,
The national bird will be the eagle.”
And the crowd cheered.
The bird was then treated as royalty
Sitting on a gilded throne
He eats fancy food for all his life
One day, however, he dies.
The eagle was then stuffed
And put on display at the palace
So every bystander
Every tourist
Every citizen who visits the castle
May see the bird, which started it all.
