Memories
Memories
Paint slowly peeling,
the walls become bare.
From green to beige,
each peal of paint
falls in unison.
The parking lot, never empty,
cars broke down,
filling others spot.
Never enough room.
Hours spent, daily,
Driving around and around.
Finally there’s a space!
With every exit,
locked the door.
No entry, without a key.
Each hall way,
bombarded by kids.
Stair ways reeking, of cats.
Bodily waste, left behind,
animals became a problem.
One room, designated to laundry.
The basement, loud,
each drier, roaring, the room never quiet.
The time comes,
night, sleepy time.
With sleep, come the loudest roars.
Following each roar, comes the fear,
of the clothes monster.
Who sleeps in the basement,
with the sunset he arises….
The clothes monster…
Roaring..
Wakening…
The dryer.!!!
