The Petal
There lay the soft petal in my hand
Withering away as it was plucked
Away from its mother stem
Dropped to be free
Floating on its own
Swirls and kaleidoscopes in the sky
As the wind hollows, I swear I can hear it;
Its cry
It cries for its family
It cries for its sorrow
It pities on me
It pities on the world
Yet it is free at last
To travel around the world
Be happy once more
To make a journey most can only crave to make
It will fall
There it will die
Decomposes, giving back to its earth
That it loved so much
No longer did he pine
