It feels like there's no time for me to breathe
Everything is going too fast, like a heart beating after running for miles
Like there's no stop to this course of climbing to the top

I just need a pause
Or someone's hug that speaks the words of encouragement
"You can do it! You can get through anything!"
I need those words
Im taking the wrong route and in need of something redirecting me

This piece of mine is missing
Don't know where I put it or if it's coming back
Maybe it was one of those pieces that was never even a piece to begin with
Perhaps something triggered this emptiness inside that is longing for a solution
Figiring it out is the hardest part
