A found poem I made from the book Madness Underneath

I thought it would be quick.
Jumping is quick.
My clothes and hair, slowly chilling me, weighing me down.
Ships sink and people jump into rivers.
The rush of air
far greater than any waterside breeze.
A zing of electricity up my spine, and I couldn't move
couldn't talk.

The author's comments:
I read this book a few years ago and I really liked it, it has both paranormal and mysterious themes that really pulls me in, so I thought i'd make a poem about it and share it with others, even though it's a found poem it has nothing to do with water or jumping of bridges, its simply sentences from the book that I felt made a story of its own.
