The Jump
A found poem I made from the book Madness Underneath
I thought it would be quick.
Jumping is quick.
My clothes and hair, slowly chilling me, weighing me down.
Ships sink and people jump into rivers.
The rush of air
far greater than any waterside breeze.
A zing of electricity up my spine, and I couldn't move
couldn't talk.
