&quot; The truth is, everyone is going to hurt you. You just got to find the ones worth suffering for.&quot; <br /> &mdash; Bob Marley

Price paid in pain,
Where Darkness lies,
There is no gain,
Where the Light cries.

Light shouts it's war cry,
Darkness gathers its forces,
Mortal life turned to dust,
Fear so strong it kills.

Despair so wild,
Nightmares so vile,
The prices paid are heinous,
Despite my purpose.

Tears fall slowly,
Anger boils up,
Life loses interest,
Precious seconds tick away.

Before my eyes,
Life flashes by,
my last moments unheard,
by anyone but my aching heart.

Weak smile plagues my lips,
Blinking my life away,
I finally found happiness,
In the Light that is Darkness

The pain will stop at Lights end~

The author's comments:
This is what came from my ex when she left me. I faced pain, but in that pain, something clicked and I sat down and started writing. I showed this to a friend and she said I had the potential to write amazing poems. I hope people can see that even though life continues to pound on you, Nothing is worth the pain. There are several ways to take the way the Darkness is symbolized, but I wrote it from my heart as the symbolizing hardships, and Light as my willpower. When your Light stops, I wrote it for you've conquered your struggles. Blinking away your life, to me that phrase meant looking back to your past from your old, content age.
