Little Me
Hey Little Me,
Oh, the sparkle in your big brown eyes
I’m sorry I’ve let that fade.
The way your cheeks swell every time you smile
I’m sorry that hasn’t happened as of late.
You see the beauty in everything.
You love the bright stars in the sky.
I’m sorry I’m always looking down,
I don’t hold my head up very high.
You always say
“Fall’s my favorite season because the leaves get to be free.”.
That freedom you’ve always wanted is holed up deep inside of me.
You’re bright.
You’re happy.
You could probably change the world.
You’re likable.
You’re awesome
When did it all get so whirled.
Just know that
I miss you.
You always stayed unique.
That’s why most of all I’m sorry that you
became me.
