Depression
She makes a wish on a shooting star
She twirls in the golden leaves,
As the blazing sunlight pours down on her.
She feels true joy in that blissful moment,
As if the worries of her life have disappeared completely.
The birds are playing a relaxing tune,
As the grass brushes her bare feet…
Ever so gently,
Nothing in the world can touch her now.
What will happen when she steps away?
Reality comes rushing back,
The clouds come rolling in,
The soft grass beneath her feet become cold,
As she drops back down to reality,
To the world, that she has grown to know.
She gets down on her knees and looks at her wrists.
Her beautiful disaster,
Yet her only castor in the night sky.
She lay on her bed,
With her blankets over her head.
Only wanting to escape.
She looks up once again
To maybe live
That lie, “Oh once again.”
