Quietly
I notice you, quietly, like a whisper to myself
"Wow, he's wonderful."
But even I barely hear it.
Because I can't fall in love hard and dramatically
With all the world knowing.
So the only solution is to fall in love silently
And just hopelessly praying you have good enough
hearing, somehow, to catch me.
Even though I know that you're too caught up in the
noises of the louder, attractive girls to ever catch a
whimper of mine, which makes no sound.
But I keep on hoping you are different
That you can somehow hear my heart's pleas
Begging you to fall in love with me
Because I don't know any other way to love
Except for secretly, quietly, without you ever really noticing.
